The John Barleycorn provides a delightful and versatile setting for a variety of different private functions.

Situated in a picturesque country setting between Harlow and Epping, the John Barleycorn is just a few miles from Junction 7 of the M11 and within easy reach of Stansted Airport and other major transportation links.  Plenty of free parking is available.

There are 2 bar areas in addition to the Restaurant.  The low ceilings and exposed oak beams are an attractive feature of the property and there is plenty of light from the windows overlooking the large garden and patio with picnic style tables, parasols, pond with fountain and well maintained lawns.

Carl and Pauline have owned the pub for over 8 years and together with their friendly team are fully experienced in  successfully catering  for Weddings, Christenings, Funeral Gatherings, Corporate Events, BBQ’s, Birthdays and other Celebrations.

With the ability to accommodate up to 120 people for Funeral Gatherings and Christenings and approx 70 for a Function in the Restaurant, the John Barleycorn makes an excellent choice when planning your Event. The outside areas make it a perfect setting for marquees for larger events such as Weddings or Parties as well as BBQ’s throughout the summer months.
